I'm workin' today - apartment maintenance never sleeps.  I am off tomorrow, but still on call.  Hopefully, we will have some storms tomorrow to bring the temp down.

Me.

Very quiet in the office today, though.

About 20 hours this weekend alone. I'm going to call it quits pretty soon and go do something else.

I'm working today.  However, a quick stroll around the campus puts me in the minority.  I think we are at about 1/4 staff.

I am.  1500 today. 1400 on the 4th.  0700 the day after.  I hate holidays.  I hate fireworks.  No, I'm not unpatiriotic, I just have to score a couple hours of sleep between the 4th and turn around to a day shift the day after.
I almost always work holidays, so its soured my attitude.  I hope everyone has fun, but I'm a bah-humbug kinda guy nowadays.

Working, but not making any promises re: my productivity.  The kids are working out in the yard all morning before going to the local rec center after lunch.

I work in a group home so there are no days off.

I'm in for half the day, and taking the other half off as PTO. I would have taken the whole day off, but I have a couple of clients that would have thrown a hissy fit if they hadn't heard from me today on some of their issues.

I'm at my desk, and I WILL get SOME work done, but this day will be about as productive as Christmas Eve or the Wednesday before Thanksgiving...

I am not on the job today, unless you count driving the brushcutter against the blackberries on the driveway, but will be on the job for the Fourth of July as I drive about 400 miles so I can deliver on the fifth.  Hope Woodinville WA puts on a good fireworks show. Smiley

I work in a psychiatric hospital so we are 24/7 regardless of what day it is.  I am scheduled from 3-1130pm today (I was supposed to work day shift today but yesterday they switched today's schedule, another plus of working for a psych hospital, so much for my plans for the day).

Tomorrow I'm scheduled 7a-730p.  It will not be a fun day.  First, we are always understaffed on weekends and holidays (the days when the patients' day is less structured and thus when they are most likely to do something that demands our immediate attention).  Second, on our unit (where many of my co-workers don't have much of a work ethic) you can guarantee that someone will call in sick on a holiday (on other units that is unheard of).  Last, on holidays patients are least happy about being stuck on a locked psychiatric hospital unit and thus are most likely to become agitated.  I'm not looking forward to it, it will likely be a tough and understaffed day, and if someone on evening shift calls in (a likelihood) I have a decent chance of working an 18 hour day and being told 5 minutes before I think I'm going home.

Here.

And all the other goobers that are OFF work today are callin' me wanting to see houses. Would you believe my day started with a phone call at 7:30 this morning ... "Hey, if you aren't doing anything, could me and the missus see some houses..?". It hasn't stopped since.

I may shut my phone off tomorrow 'cuz I know what's coming next. Just remember, if any of you try to roust me out on my day off, well.. I'll just have to think nasty things about you while I ignore your call.
