Me pick on her?  hah!
She's the one abusing me.
She sleeps in my lap all day and when I go to bed she terrorizes me.  Bites my nose and ears, walks all over my face, claws at my hands, and if she's not doing that, she's tearing up stuff in my room.

So today I'm going to try to keep her awake so she'll sleep tonight.
ffs.

Reminds me of my second girlfriend.....couldn't teach her much, either.....

Ok, I'm sorry but BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!

And staff?  Yea I see that now.  Oh well, watching her bite her foot is great.

WELLP.
I made it.
I have a job making almost 30k a year.
I have a savings account with money going into it.
I just started renting a room across the street from my job (Navy Federal Credit Union btw)
And now I have internets!
Remember my cat?
She got big:

So, one of the first things I decided to do with my new job money was get my cat worked on.  She was in heat pretty much constantly, and needed vaccination.  Also decided to get her declawed too.
So I had my mom take her to the vet a couple weeks ago.
Keep in mind I haven't seen her in months.  I now live four hours from my home town and my mom has been taking care of her.  I did get to see her that weekend before the vet trip though.

Good thing, because it didn't end too well.

I cried like a baby.
At least she's here in Virginia with me now, in a way.
A "bad reaction" to the vaccine they called it.

So, how is life treating everyone else?

Poor Mabs.

Sorry, man.

Welcome back, even if under slightly macabre news.

Sorry to hear about the kitteh.   =(

On an unrelated note, why does "The Annoyed MAn" have two posts in this thread alone, yet his post count is 1?

On another uinrelated note, I miss Manedwolf. He was fun, even when I grew vexed with him.

I really don't think so.
I've had cats before and never felt anything toward them like I did this one.
She was my best friend.
Not saying I'll never get a new cat, and I can't have one here anyway (Which is why she was still back home).
I don't think I'll ever find a cat with as much personality as this one, but everyone says that.
We'll see.

Very sorry to hear about your cat.
Back in April I had to euthanize a cat I've had since 1994.   I sort of felt a bit diffident about getting another cat.
But just about two months after I did, a two month old tortoiseshell black over white with brown (actually a sort of butterscotchy color) smudges in the black.  In fact I named her "Smudge."  She's grown a pound since I got her and she's getting too big too fast, but it's  great fun having her around and all.
It hasn't made me forget the departed friend .... but it truly helps keep a smile on my face.... and that is damn rare these days.

Yea thanks, person I don't know.
The hard part for me was, I got the cat while going through a rough spot in life, she helped me get through that, then I was pretty mean to her.
When I lost my internet it was just she and I in my room every day hanging out when I wasn't out looking for jobs or working a few hours with my uncle.  I started treating her better and she started acting better, but I'm not sure which of us started first.
So I wanted to make it up to her, get a house or something up here she could run around in and not be stuck in one room all the time, and basically just treat her good.
The vet visit was supposed to be part of that.
Sending your cat to the vet, when it is in good health, to get spayed and declawed and having it die is pretty shocking.
And now I can't make it up to her.
So yea, I cried.
Like a hungry angry baby.

Sorry about you losing your kitteh friend Mabs.  But, welcome back anyway, and congrats on the meaningful employment.  It's good to hear things are looking up for you.
