Their worst nightmare is that Trump actually facilitates an end to the Korean War, and either is awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, or is *not* awarded the prize and thus exposes the sham.
OK, well, we know that the Ninth US Court of Appeals would step in and mandate that the war must continue, so we'd be covered there.
As for a conservative getting the Nobel peace prize? It will never happen. The committee that awards it has a long history of giving it only to neutral to hard left individuals and institutions, which matches their individual political philosophies.
Gorbachev got he Peace prize for "bringing a peaceful end to the Cold War." Right... and without John Paul II and Ronald Reagan putting incredible pressure on the Soviet Union AND working hard with them to reduce the thread of a catastrophic nuclear war during the break up, there wouldn't have been an end to the Cold War. At least not a peaceful one.
Al Gore gets the peace prize for "making people woke to the fact that they're killing our planet" all the while he's killing our planet with a likestyle that's incredibly polluting.
Barak Obama gets the peace prize for.... for... OK, for being in office for exactly TWELVE DAYS before the nominations close and not doing thing *expletive deleted*ing one for peace in that time. But, as a member of the committee later admitted, they awarded it to Obama because they wanted to lend him an air of moral authority and legitimacy AND he wasn't George W. Bush.
Yassir Arafat got the award for being a murderous terrorist who wanted to exterminate all Jews. Matches lock step with the committee's beliefs, I'd say.
The best thing in the world that Trump could do if he were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize?
Call it a sham award, the equivalent of a participation trophy, and tell them to stuff it up their corn holes.
