I was too shocked to start a thread because I read that he had a .357 in his home AND MORE THAN 100 ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION!!!!!!

My GOD, He had an ARSENAL!!  :O

The guy is just one mean ***hole. Read the book. What they're saying now is he's got enough info on corrupted individuals in the FBI and Boston police force to put quite a few people away and is probably willing to use it to get himself a good deal. He may very well die in prison in the near future but from what is anybody's guess.
