I was rather shocked to see this in the Washington Post.

Caddell is a Democrat, even though he's a pretty regular feature on Hannity's show and constantly criticizes the Democrats for the stupid things they've been doing since the Clinton years. If I didn't know better, I'd say he was a Republican.

I suspect a lot of Democrats are agreeing with him now, though.

I dunno.  My geriatric, paranoid, simplistic, senile, ignorant old mind... or what's left of it ... sees all his actions as part of an extreme left strategy to destroy America economically, spiritually, and politically.

To turn a phrase around, "Never ascribe to ineptitude that which can be attributed to malice."

There.  I said it and I ain't takin' it back.

To turn a phrase around, "Never ascribe to ineptitude that which can be attributed to malice."

You forgot the second part, "... and never ascribe to ineptitude or malice that which can be explained by abject stupidity."

Yes, stupidity.  I would also add arrogance.  Both have been common failings of men (especially leaders) for centuries.

I don't know if I would say that Obama is trying to destroy the country.  You have to remember that this is a guy that has spent his entire life in non-productive jobs that were either political in nature or had little in the way of accountability.  IMO, I don't think he really knows that this stuff doesn't work.  He has a head filled with socialist and leftist propagandist stuff and he doesn't know it won't work because he never had to put it in action.  He is arrogant enough to think it will work if not for all these stupid people opposing him.  I think this job as President is probably the first job he has held that is fully accountable and all eyes are on him.  In addition, I don't think he has ever been in a position where he has had to defend his leftist positions and respond to critics.  He wasn't seriously challenged in his local races and IMO, the media never really challenged him in his Presidential campaign.  He has no experience dealing with a vigorous opposition.

I would.  He is trying to destroy the country, and he is gaining ground.  What other reason could be motivating him?  If its ideology, his to be specific, its destroying the country.  If its his lack of job skills, its destroying the country.  What he is doing is not in the best interest of America.

I don't disagree really, but I don't think he sees it that way.

Those who support Obama claim he is smart.  If that is so, I wonder why, with the body of evidence regarding the failure of Marxism and Socialism, that he isn't able to grasp that failure?  In my opinion, he isn't smart at all.  He's an idealogue who is incapable of changing his opinions about things.  His failure to grasp reality is the mark of a man who is self absorbed and has a towering ego rather than intellectual prowess.  In my years I have been personally aquainted with folks of his ilk.  Dealing with folks like that is an exercise in futility.

Truly bright people, reasonable people, are able to change positions when confronted with evidence.  The ability to recognize the error of one's position is the sign of intellectual ability.

THe best that can happen is if the R's get control of the House and Senate is to hog tie the man and run him out of office.  If the R's have the courage of conviction, this is not the time for bi partisanship unless the D's agree to come to the right.  If the R's do what is right, we may see Obama come unhinged.  If that is so, America may finally come to realize the importance of carefully picking our leaders.

Oh, just try it.  Just say, "Obama is destroying the country" once.  You'll like it, I promise.  Go ahead, try it just this once.
