Had a coworker that was a huge movie buff and rented a lot of movies.
Went to his place once and noticed what looked like a tiny VCR next to the actual VCR and asked what it was.
It was a rewinder. First time I had ever seen one, and maybe even heard of one.
He watched so many movies that he didn't want to use up any precious time using the VCR to rewind tapes so the just-watched movie would go in the rewinder and immediately put in the next movie.
That's some hard-core movie binging.
Later on of course rewinders became more common, even to the point where you could get one that looked like a sports car.
