Do they use the same VGA cable as a CRT?

Probably.

Also, will I need to download a driver?

No.

There are also a number of them available without AC adaptors.

Most now-a-days use a standard power cord, no AC power block needed.

Watch out for dead spots on the screen.

Got a freebie a couple weeks ago.  Nice and big.  Buuuuuuut.  But there is no backlight control -- it's on full bright all the time.

Personally, I do not understand how a bunch of people demanding a bigger govt can call themselves anarchist.
I meet lots of folks like this, claim to be anarchist but really they're just liberals with pierced genitals. - gunsmith

Well, now I just boughted it for 22.49, plus sales tax.  VGA cable will cost me 12 dollars.  37 bucks all together.

I waited until 27 seconds out to snipe it.  I am getting dangerous.

The joys of a local eBay seller.  I went and got it just now.  And they threw in a VGA cable.  25-dollar LCD monitor working just fine now.  The wife's thrift store computer desk is not deep enough nor sturdy enough for a CRT monitor, so...
