Having bronchitis and the runs simultaneously is NOT, repeat, NOT a good thing. Now if you'll excuse me...
I might not last very long or be very effective but I'll be a real pain in the ass for a minute!

I learned that my wife likes free fixer upper cats better than standard cats.  Repairs require a vet.  A vet can eat up the better part of a day and a paycheck at the same time.  Now I know.

After I read my post, it occurred to me that "now I NO" would have worked better.

I feel your pain! My wife insisted we take care of a neighborhood "outside" male tabby and so far we are into it to the tune of $700!

I learned that chrome is considered a heavy metal, and less then 8000 micrograms/liter is enough to make water hazmat, requiring special disposal. All 18,000 gals of it.

What is the limit?  Maybe the solution to hazmat pollution is dilution with another 18k gallons.

If you dump it all in the ocean I'm pretty sure the ppm would be below the limits...

Go blind.

Trust me on that.

Seriously.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

I learned that a co-op student takes a lot of time from your day, particularly if they are green.

I can see why.

I learned that an 2 stroke outboard needs a working thermostat to get the engine up temps for proper fuel ignition.

If it is stuck open, the plugs will foul in less than an hour and you get a nice oily goop out the exhaust port after you shut down and the motor cools.

Fouled plugs means the engine runs like *expletive deleted*it at trolling speeds and won't hit 5k rpm at wide open throttle.

New thermostat is on order.

Courtesy of Louis L'Amours' "Borden Chantry," I learned a little about the Crispin cartridges.

Finding a ".52 Crispin metallic cartridge" was a clue in that novel.

This article also tells a bit about the patenting of the "bored-through" revolver cylinder, which prompted gunmakers to try all sorts of things to avoid infringing on that patent --and some actual infringements:

WHATEVER YOUR DEFINITION OF "INFRINGE " IS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING IT.

Dilution is the solution to pollution.. Wink

While I have used that phrase before, one does not even think it loudly when the Army's environmental folks are on site trying to figure stuff out.  They get.......persnickity.

Today I learned that a group of Otters is called a Romp.  Seems appropriate.

I learned that you have to be at least 6 foot tall to join the Coast Guard.

That way if your boat sinks, you can walk back to shore....
