The SS Minnow has lost another passenger.

It is a sad day on the island but really, doesn't any elderly person die from anything but Covid-19 anymore? A white woman born in 1940 (She was born in 1938) had a life expectancy of 66.6 years. She beat the odds, lived longer than expected and who knows what underlying conditions she had. I would like to see some factual reporting of deaths during these Covid times.
This:
Mary Ann From 'Gilligan's Island,' Dawn Wells, Has Died Of The Coronavirus
is not a factual teaser headline IMO.

RIP. She seemed like a very nice person in real life.
FTR, I was a Mary Ann man in the "Ginger vs Mary Ann" debate.
-
^^^I was also a Mary Ann kind of guy. I met her a couple of times at UW events. She was an alumni. I made the coconut pie recipe from her cookbook and it was pretty good.
Tina Louise (Ginger) is the sole surviving cast member.

Not only was she a sweet person, she used her fame to do good thinga.
RIP, fair Lady.

She showed up a Grand Rapids Griffins (primary Detroit Red Wing AHL minor league team) hockey game at an intermission. That was probably early 2000's.

RIP. She seemed like a very nice person in real life.
FTR, I was a Mary Ann man in the "Ginger vs Mary Ann" debate.
She always seemed like a very decent person.
I was a Mary Ann > Ginger person as well.
Also Jeanie > Samantha but Ellie May Vs Granny was always a tough call.

Betty VS Wilma?

Hey man, she was a MARRIED woman. And her husband could afford many expert hitmen! [popcorn] [tinfoil]

A couple of years ago - well before the CCP virus - I remember reading Dawn Wells had some sort of serious health issue. So maybe the CCP virus was just the final straw.

And a cradle robber. She was 13 years older than Mr. Howell.

Natalie Schafer aka Lovey Howell
It's sometimes surprising to compare famous people as they were young v. older.
I was a young, brash, snotty, mean little ill-mannered kid, but as I grew older.... ummmm. Nevermind.

No contest. Jeannie for the win. I've always lusted after Barbara Eden.

I think it was. I read in another article that she had been living in an assisted living/skilled nursing facility for some time before her death.

I question the point of that debate. My best answer is "yes" since I doubted I would ever be in a position where both were interested in me. =D

Well, she is 66 years old now. Hopefully she is aging gracefully and not artificially. ;)

Jeannie v Samantha
Jeannie was supposed to be sexy.
Samantha was supposed to be housewifely.
I let that color my thinking, too.

I see that she died from a UTI which turned into sepsis. This combination kills a lot of little old ladies, often with some pneumonia as the cherry on top.

That almost killed my dad a few years ago, and the UTI didn't seem that bad leading up to it. I think a lot of his cognitive decline (which really isn't that bad for his age but it is definitely noticeable) is from brain damage from the sepsis.

Oh. Urinary Tract Infection. Thanks, Google, from one who only knows Band-Aids and mercurochrome.

Tanya Roberts did not declare herself dead
Does she self-identify as dead?
