Yeah. The .5 to 1 inch we were supposed to get here in DFW became 4-6. My pickup bed is half full. No complaints, though. I think the weight helped a bit as I skidded home.

I had roughly 150 pounds or so of broken springs in the back of my truck. Which are now embedded in the block of ice that seems 5 inches thick or so. My truck is squatting but I can use first gear again!

Now to try and chisel some ice out tomorrow  =(

Here at Festung Scout, it's a constant 70 during the day and 65 at night.  Outside though it's pretty damn cold.
Got a guy in truck with snowplow to do my drive.  My cardiologist is happy.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

Your cardiologist has a truck with a snowplow?  What does he charge for a driveway?

I just grilled hot dogs for lunch.

Neener.

If it hadn't been raining all weekend I'd have grilled a Porterhouse Saturday. Or Sunday, still raining.

I usually use charcoal and hickory but whatever works for you.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.
