Terrible article and study.
Chocolate cake is made from numerous ingredients. Which ingredient carries the PFAS?
The study also says bottled water has PFAS, as does nearly everything else we eat.

About as useful as those studies that say that aspertame turns into formaldehyde in the body... which it does.
But doesn't mention that eating a ripe apple exposes you to several times the amount of formaldehyde, which is a naturally occurring substance in many foods.

Because so many people use it before the "s" when making common nouns (or should I type noun's) plural. I see that so much on the Internet that my finger's [sic] are beginning to do it of their own volition, and I sometimes have to catch myself. It seems that many people believe that any word ending in "s" must have the "s" preceded by an apostrophe.

Nice rant, but the photo shows a semicolon, not an apostrophe.

It's sometimes handy to have an apostrophe (correctly used) to indicate some state of affairs with precision.
It irks me to see it misused; one of my correspondents uses it for almost everything and he's educated enough to know better.
The irk factor isn't as intense as seeing a finger on the trigger unnecessarily, or a magazine with cartridges loaded backwards, or calling a cartridge a bullet, but it's there, if you see what I mean.
On the other hand, one apostrophe rule I hate is the one about its being its own possessive and not needing an apostrophe. I don't know how that came about, but I don't know how "GH" came to be pronounced "F," either.
As an example, compare:
"The car's engine was running." (correct)
to
"Its engine was running." (correct)
whereas "It's engine is running" is incorrect.
Go figure.
I'm not sure how many languages don't use an apostrophe our way, though.

I believe it's just because we need to be able to tell the difference between "it's" (the contraction) and "its" the possessive.
