"No Guns" sign violates zero-tolerance

Rest assured, America. Your left-wing never tires of finding new ways to explore the boundaries of derp.

Surely, this is a parody web site.

Nope, it appears to be for serious.

Derp-derp-derp. Derp.

And, per Michael Z's blog, the school official quoted in the article is taken out of context... resulting in "our side" treating her less than respectfully
No Child Should Live In Fear

What was that about a pearl handled revolver and someone from New Orleans again?

Screw it: just autoclave the planet (thanks Birdman)

I guess you mean this blog?
http://www.michaelzwilliamson.com/blog/

I scanned the little tete a tete there, and I'm not sure how it makes the comments less derpish, or how they were taken out of context, or how she's being treated with less respect that otherwise (keeping in mind the internet respects no one).

Can you explain for those of us who just woke up, and haven't had our tea just yet?

"I think if it ultimately helps to keep schools safe, that’s the objective."

I think she might have an even lower opinion of the general public than I do.

Which, considering she's been an "educator" for 22 years is really quite frightening.  Since she's directly responsible for the education of many of those in the general public she has such a low opinion of . . .

She just knows what type of product her and her colleagues have been producing over the years.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

Pardon my literalness, but I think she is right but for the wrong reason.  Following the faulty logic of "anything related to guns is dangerous", they have banned even the image of a gun in schools.  So the sign, bearing the silhouette of a gun, is in violation of the law it is enforcing.

The derp. It is spreading. Some politician in Illinois had this to say about the no-guns signs:

I received a call this week from an Oak Park mom troubled by having to explain to her six-year-old why there were suddenly pictures of guns everywhere.  I'm told psychiatrists and psychologists are investigating the effects of the visual bombardment we will endure, particularly on our children. Senate Bill 2669 might address that risk.

Yes, the visual bombardment we've endured in every other state in the union has been horrifying.  ;/

Well, so much for that statue.

Here's a thought.  Make less places off-limits then.

Naturally, he goes in a much different direction. His solution is to criminalize carry in any place where guns aren't specifically welcomed. "Guns Welcome" signs, instead of "No Guns" signs.
