Get to da choppa!
« on: July 10, 2010, 12:37:55 AM »
I just watched Predator for the first time tonight.  It holds up amazingly well, for a 1987 action flick.  Amazingly well.  Also, the white guys died before the black guys.   :O

What's got Billy so spooked?

There were several of us going on at work, between us we could quote, in Ahnuld-speak, pretty much every line of that film.

For some reason I have a terrible thing stuck in my head lately. An imagination of Arnold singing "California Dreaming"

And lastly, who will be the next Predator Governor? Billy or Carl Weathers?

AKA Navy Joe

I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.

Billy actually did run for Governor of Kentucky:

All Dillon has is a SNL skit:

A plan is just a list of things that doesn't happen.
Is defenestration possible through the overton window?

The limerick, peculiar to English,
Is a verse form that's hard to extinguish,
Once congress, in session,
Decreed it's suppression,
But people got around it by writing the last line without any rhyme or meter.

I actually just went through the whole Lethal Weapon franchise for the first time. I've only seen bits and pieces of it until now. They're all pretty stupid, and politically regressive (vocally anti-gun and pro-abortion).

I did the same thing about a week ago. Watched all 4 in a short timespan.

All the anti-gun propaganda is made even more foolish by the incredibly irresponsible weapons handling by the two detectives.
Granted it's a movie, but it's a movie with a message that they are pushing, and their own good guys are abusing their badges all day long.

Pointing guns at people regularly (even jaywalkers, and then joking about it). Negligent discharges in a locker room which are then covered up.
In other more honest popcorn movies I could forgive it, but not when they are preaching about how we can't be trusted on one hand, and then showing off cops doing all kinds of crap.

Oh, no, it's perfectly consistent.  After all, if trained cops/combat vets are so irresponsible with their guns, then John Q. Public can hardly be trusted, what?

So it's a super amazing movie?
"so I ended up getting the above because I didn't want to make a whole production of sticking something between my knees and cranking. To me, the cranking on mine is pretty effortless, at least on the coarse setting. Maybe if someone has arthritis or something, it would be more difficult for them." - Ben

More Choppa goodness. Me and Ahnold in a commercial.

See fixed link below.

We made a spoof of the Geico commercial for an Adams Arms contest.

That brings up some funky-looking YouTube page, with four videos that want me to run them in some application I don't have.   ???

He's posting links from his phone and it doesn't seem to be playing nice with our browsers.

There this should work

Yes, sort of. That's my stage name (woods name?) You know me on Facebook with a different last name.

We made two other videos for Adams Arms, both by "M4 shootah" on You Tube. We both won the piston assembly parts.
