"I'm not sure of the point of opening a shelter only to have to move everyone because the shelter flooded."
They've already had to evacuate several shelters because they either flooded, or were about to flood.
In my opinion, this whole thing isn't about flood relief.
It's all about 'EVIL *expletive deleted*ing CHRISTIAN HYPOCRITES! IT'S OK TO SMEAR THEM BECAUSE THEY'RE FASCIST TRUMP SUPPORTERS!.'
The truth doesn't matter.
That whole back-and-forth on Osteen reinforces a tenet I've touted for years:
Accusations are cheap, defense is expensive.I'm no Defender of The (read: "Any") Faith, but this is true of everything from overaggressive DAs right down to backyard fence gossip, and is especially true in our current political brouhaha:

I do find it odd that the article only says they were "accused" and it went on to say they were sheltering people. Sounds like the person writing the article has no idea what they are doing. I will be curious to see if there is any follow up.
I think that is going to be a central theme for a lot of stuff I see going on regarding criticism of whichever villain of the day that is either "not doing enough" or "doing it wrong." Most of the accusers don't seem to be doing anything except running their mouths about politics, shoes, and race.
Ayup.
Accusations are cheap, defense is expensive.
