I wouldn't be surprised. The Russian govenrment has been known to actually hire hackers, spambot operators, virus writers and such folks  in its battle against pro-democracy protesters.

Having aquired russian origin computer virii I am not surprised. The fact that spam works makes me want to go into business though. Can we spam unbelievable ACOG prices and offer moccasins?

i don't care for spam any more than tv commercials, but (aside from copyright infringement) isn't this just another example of a free market system?
