I haven't bought anything because the prices are nuts. I haven't shot anything, in part because I don't want to use up what I have in a time of shortage, and in part because I've been busy with other things.

Same here except the other day I got so cabin fevered that I went out and shot a whole twelve rounds out of my single six, just to see if I remember which end the bullets come out of  =|

Also fired a couple rounds each out of my several "new" shotguns and one mag full out of my "new" 1911.

I got a bunch of my late stepdad's 12 gauge reloads but had to buy some 16 gauge.  I have not yet even asked ladypine how much those and the .45 cost ....

Some....my wife is getting more because she gets to nap during the day when KJ naps....my day job tends to frown on such practices.....

Not likely.  All of those purchases have to be approved, accounted for, and paid for by several layers of bullshi bureacracy. The paid for part is the part that will be hard to get away with. The DHS can't just write a check whenever they want.  Not even The Chosen One can make it happen that quick.

And the IRS can't target conservatives and the BATFE can't sell guns to Mexican drug cartels.

Uh oh. S has HTF. Tallpine has a bottomfeeder.

Next thing you know he'll have a glock 17 and an AR.

What prompted the 1911, captain sixgun?

Next thing you know he'll be asking for advice about nite sites and crappy addons he saw in on a gunboard somewhere, before he's ever run a round through his Gloch.

Legacy gun of some kind.  There was a thread on it recently.

Family Heirloom that was  passed down, IIRC.  And a rather nice (and collectable) one at that.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

I just impulse purchased a 100pk of American Eagle .45 ACP, in conjunction with the acquisition if the SW1911sc I've been lusting for. $55. First ammunition bought in a couple of years.I'm not party to the ammo run.

$27/50 for .45 ain't that bad, these days.  A couple months ago I noted a waste barrel at the club topped off with empty 9mm 50 round boxes, each labeled $24.

Anyway...

From the responses here, the "us" isn't this little "us" here, per se.  It's the newbies, and those that thought that a box of two of ammo was sufficient supply.

Depends on the size of the box  ;)
