Underwater Anaconda
« on: March 08, 2013, 09:03:25 PM »
I've been diving with sharks. Sharks don't bother me. As a diver, this creeps me out so bad just seeing this photo, that I never want to dive again.

It hard to decide which is worse, a single large snake, or tons of little ones waiting to drop on you from the trees?  >:D

Why'd it have to be snakes?  I HATE snakes!

Not quite as bad, I swam over the top of a rock and started down the other side, only to see a moray headed up that same side.  He got the right of way....

Captain thought it'd be great fun to show the newbie how to feed a moray.  Problem was, I didn't have my prescription mask yet and had to get too close to see what was going on.  Captain had a chunk missing out of his upper left arm where a moray had gotten hold of him.

Anaconda aren't the only snakes that swim.
Water moccasins do that -- had a neighbor who  had one try to get in a boat with him while he was fishing.  The snake didn't understand that oars make great field expedient weapons. >:D

I used to wade rivers and fly fish for smallies. Happiness is not being in neck deep water and seeing a squiggly line swimming towards you. Same day I almost stepped on another snake and a cow stepped on my spinning rod.

I concur with RocketMan. Nuclear torpedoes were developed to take out carrier groups. This would be a fine way to safely dispose of them.

I read the title of this thread too quickly, and thought it said "Underwear Anaconda".  That creeped me out even more than the real thread.

Hey, I opened it with the faint, yet disturbing, hope it would actually end up being about snakes.
