Real hipsters trim their beards with a $200 axe.

I use whatever Wahl buzzer they sell at Walmart.

Scissors?   Wahl hair clippers is what I use usually, when I want to whack back the undergrowth.

Yep, Wahl.  Bought mine at Target maybe 4 years ago, still going strong.  Mine is a cordless unit.

Wal-Mart has a nice selection of Remington trimmers.  I am currently using the PG6025 model.

I've always used cordless, but corded would work just as well.

You can't trim your beard in your car on the way to work with a corded model. Just something to think about.

Picked this up from a lightning deal for less than $20.

I don't need to use it often (couple times a month), but I've been very impressed over the past couple of months. Gets good reviews, as well.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

No. Neckbeards. Their standards are much lower.

Neckbeards don't trim, plus you didn't ask about Fedoras or Trilbys.

I guess you're right about the Neckbeards (their standards are that low!), but hipsters have been known to sport the same headgear - ironically.

I wear a fedora un-ironically, but I shave my neck. Not sure where that leaves me.

On a serious note, I get about 5-6 years out of big box mart beard trimmers before they start falling apart. I trim my beard once a month, but I have a pretty heavy beard with thick coarse hairs.

Just figure if you wear a year round beard that it is a disposable item.

We've got probably 30+ on the basic Wahl hair clippers.

I'd bet if we compared yours made 30 years ago to what is in stores now we'd see a few quality differences.

I've got a Wahl battery model of some sorts, it's 6 or 7 years old but I only use it once a year.

$25 is about what I expect to spend. This will be used twice a week, to trim mah facial hair, at the bathroom sink, with an outlet right there next to the sink.

I probably won't consider anything I'll have to wait for. The recharger for the current, cordless unit has been misplaced, so I need one pretty soon.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Funny.   Do you use a Great White Shark to trim your toenails? >:D
