Of the three, I could only see Lenin being argued as buying into his own socialist dogma, and I still think it might be a far stretch. Stalin and Hitler are fairly well established to have been power hungry whack-jobs. To be a "man of the people" necessitates having empathy for said people. A lack of empathy for anyone else is one of the notable traits of sociopaths.
