Al Jazeera America.

Anyone else watch the new contender in the news world?
I wasn't too impressed.
I will admit to a possible bias against them but my overall impression was of a subtle anti-American slant.

Well the question is are they more truthful and less anti-America than CNN/MSNBC/ABC/CBS?

I also predict a failure but I suspect that it will be propped up regardless of financial success in order to maintain the presence in the US market.

He sold it to the Emir of Oman or whoever ultimately owns Al Jazeera. And it was all a big secret until they called them in to a meeting to let them know the day the deal was done. Meh, about as trustworthy as Fox or MSNBC.

I tend to aggregate my news to balance out the bias. A good mix of Fox, CNN and al Jazeera would probably give you more or less 80% of the reality of a situation.

I watched the Al Jazeera network when I was in Spain. It was during that whole Japan nukey plant go boomey incident.\
There reporting was way better than the bbc or cnn IMO.
Those were the only 3 English speaking channels we got besides CBS out of NY. (I know kind of odd)(not the fact they are English but cbs)
