I've seen these on my Facebook feed for a while.  I'm skeptical of the design, especially the mag holder, and they are only for small guns. They also are "sizes" instead of made for the particular pistol, which I'm not a fan of.

But for $30, I grabbed one in size 3 for my XDs, and we'll see how it does.

I bought an IWB Versacarry used from a local gun store because it was cheap, leather, and I’d heard of them before. I’ve never carried with it and I don’t like the design. You can fit a G19 in the one I have, whatever size that is.

If anyone wants it let me know.

My muscle memory is drilled into me to reach for my spare mag on the left.

Not going to try and retrain myself, esp since I don’t train as frequently as I used to.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

Sorry 'bout that, Chief.  I had it all copied and ready to go, but the whiskey hit before I pasted.   =D

Thanks, dogmush.

According to the sizing chart, a 1 will fit my Glock 17, 19, or 26.  Figured it would be worth a shot.

I wanted to, but they actually design the thing to lay flat to your belt when it is empty. I got a Glock. I want the top of the holster to be steel reinforced and stay exactly the same shape when the gun isn't there.

I see those ads on the Book of Faces.

Let us know how that works.  I'm not much interested in that style.

Last month sometime, I picked up a Blade-tech Nano for my XDS off ebay, for the princely sum of $15.  Kydex, IWB, dual loop -- that's what works best for me right now.

So this thing finally showed up today.  (Super fast shipping :D)

First impressions are:  Holy cow this thing is a POS.

The XDs does fit in it, if you push hard enough.  It will also fit in *just* enough to cover the trigger, but not the whole trigger guard.  Worse, since the holster is two identical pieces of flat leather sewn together, there's no "angle" retention.  That is to say that the gun can pivot like 20 degrees as seen from the top.  (Imagine the barrel is the axis it pivots on) so that the grip might be held close to you, it might be dead fora-aft, or it might be angled out from you.  It seems to have the same tension either way.

I'm out of town this week, so I'm going to leave a pistol and mag in it on the workbench til next Monday and then I'll look at it again, but so far it's a hard pass.

Now I know. (and knowing is half the battle!)

You must be kidding. With holsters, folks pay extra for ugly.

Soak the holster with water. Wrap the gun in plastic food wrap or put it in a sandwich bag, insert in holster, mold ("block") the holster to the shape of the gun, and set aside to dry (with the gun in place) for 48 hours.

Pictures I see of it look like it's made of pretty soft leather.  Will it set into a useful shape?

I don't think so, but I'm going to give it a shot.
