Today the news is full of reports about things like “bomb cyclones” and “atmospheric rivers,” but as terrifying as these meteorological mouthfuls are, they hardly represent the terror of the 1362 Grote Mandrenke, literally, “the Great Drowning of men.”
The History Guy talks about a non-tropical cyclone that hit Ireland, England, and the Northern European coast in 1362. "There is very little that people can make that nature cannot destroy." It underscores that natural disasters have been happening a long time.
