Title: Shooting watch timer question

To the best of my knowledge, this doesn't exist, but why?
Why can't someone make a watch with a shot timer in it?
Think about it. Being able to practice IDPA stages by yourself.
They have watches that tell temp- why not have one that you hit a button, there is a delay, then a beep, then a sensor that records shots like a shooting timer?
Who should I call to get this done? Casio will laugh. Any other ideas?

probably becasue the amount of folks who would purchase said item woudln't be that large and not reap great profits for the company that makes them.

Why not just buy your own shot timer? Push the button with your shooting hand and watch your targets.
I don't know if this will work for you, but I used to practise timed and rapid fire by recording the commands and then counting down the time on a small tape recorder. It didn't turn targets or record my times or score, but it worked pretty well for my timing.

I use this one: www.competitionelectronics.com/pages/Pocket_Pro.html. It's about the size of two packs of cigarettes, but it hangs easily on my belt and it is designed to be used by one person; it has a random-delay start feature.

Thanks for the ideas-
I was actually thinking it would be cool to have this feature in a watch. Start in a modified "surrender" position and go from there.
