I've recently developed a bit of a yen for a commander size 1911 in 9mm.
The above mentioned abomination is NOT a consideration.
I have an old Colt Combat Commander in (of course) 9mm. I have to say it's probably my favorite handgun, although it had been well-used and rather abused before I bought it. For mechanical reasons as well as not wanting to ruin a VERY nice reblued finish, I wouldn't carry it, butit's a dream to shoot.
