I saw it was complications from colon surgery. As a guy getting up in years, I'm wondering what complications there can be to that surgery?

Bleeding, clots , nick your bowel and miss it leading to peritonitis and sepsis, sutures letting go dumping contents into abdomen, reaction to anesthesia and probably a few more things I can't think of right now.

Ugh. That is making me rethink my probability math regarding cutting down on the colonoscopies.
