Calling all people 24 or younger!
« on: July 31, 2006, 05:21:28 PM »
Post here with your age. I'm just curious how many young folks there actually are here on APS. Oh, and BTW, I'm 18.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Okay, would it have been better if I was looking to see how many people here were not too much older than me?

See, this is why I posted this thread. No offense intended, Mr. Flory, but I always assumed that you were in your late 30's or early 40's. I'm going to bet that there are quite a few people here who are quit a bit younger than I actually assume they are.

Why the 24 cut-off?

Did I achieve old age at my last birthday?

The fun thing about age is that it is the most relevant irrelevant fact that you can use in a debate, conversation, etc.  For example, I'm 37.  People who come to see me in court assume that, since I'm on the bench, I'm past 40.  The gray hair doesn't help (my temples were gray by 32).  When I go shooting at one local range, frequented by older gentlemen, I'm that young guy with the high-tech pistols (a Glock and Beretta 92).  If I go to a different range frequented by young cops, I'm that older guy that shoots pretty good with those old fashioned wheel guns.

Physiological age or emotional age?

Stick, who's 37 going on 26.

23 here. I usually don't advertise it because it's the first things attacked if someone else is on the wrong side of an argument.

Hehe, I thought a lot of the folks popping up were much older than this, too.

Speaking of your actual age versus your appearance...

I'm 33, but the (very attractive) girl cutting my hair a few weeks ago commented that I was too young to be married.  She thought I was in my early 20s. Cheesy

I'll take that as a compliment, I guess.  I'm, like, sooo mature.  Why do you all think I'm an old geezer?

If it helps, fistful, I always took you as a pubescent adolescent. Wink

22- Definatly part of that young blood shaking up this forum.  And by shacking up I generally mean nodding my head in respectfull agreement with my elders.
