video capture
« on: November 26, 2007, 11:06:11 AM »
Is there any way to capture and save video from things like you tube?
If there is the way someone here will probably it.

Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?

Depends on the type of video. Some plugins for firefox will allow easy downloading or you can use a program like snagit to get anything and everything. You can also manually download some files directly from the sites as well and play them with different types media players (.flv for flash, etc etc). Try the plugins first since they are free and easy to use. If you aren't having success with that maybe a program like snagit would be a better bet.

Any one that you would recommend for flash style videos?

Firefox has an add-on that does just that. It's called Download Helper. (Gotta LOVE Firefox) It even captures Flash Videos.
