Actually, I don't think "cuddly" has ever been used to describe me.

As I have been told, y'all is singular, the plural is all y'all.  Given her arsenal and apparent skills, I will not dispute Lady Tamara.

As I have been told, y'all is singular, the plural is all y'all.

This is truth, so all y'all listen up and heed the good word.

So it's a bit of a ketch-y'all term, then?

All y'all is appropriate when speaking to a group, but addressing one person as "y'all" is just redneck.

Amazing how quickly this thread degenerated. Is this what Rocketman was talking about when he said to take a look around and get a feel for things? Y'all just hijacked this. You ought to be ashamed.

Well, there are trickles and then cricks, then creeks and on to streams and then rivers all of which are tributaries;  offshoots of which may be ponds and lakes out of which flow trickles nd cricks and then creeks and streams and then rivers.

And so it goes, round and round, to and fro. [popcorn]

I think you fit in well here, MrsSmith. Well, there is one more question...

What is your opinion on hippies?

Chuck and Larry - I confess, have no idea what you're referring to about falling right over. Feel free to share with the rest of us.

Avenger - To your question about hippies, my comment would be that I prefer Motorhead over Slayer. And actually they're both a little too hard for me these days so Metallica would be my first choice for that endeavor. Just make sure you don't scatter wheat germ or rice cakes everywhere in the process as it might sprout and there's enough of that garbage out there already. But that reminds me, my comment about you being a member of the NGMA club - I retract that. You're too young (yes, I looked at your profile) to make that decision. (I'm sure you hate people telling you you're too young for anything, I did at your age too. Even when you get to be my age you'll still have to deal with it from people like Larry and Chuck and Grampster.) But some day (give it a few years) you're going to meet the right woman, start feeling all mushy inside, and you're going to want her to have your ring, your last name, and your babies (and I'm sure your mama would prefer it happen in that order). With luck and a little effort on your part, you'll live happily ever after. If not, then you'll be free to hunt her do... oops, I mean free to be a card carrying member of the club. I suppose it's possible you have some sort of deep principle opposing the idea of marriage, in which case feel free to PM me and share it so I can disavow you of the notion. Rule #2 of the NGMA Club is that you have to have been married once so you can speak with authority on why it doesn't work for you and why you support the Club. If I'm totally off base and you've already been married and divorced, then my apologies, welcome to the club, your card will be in the mail.

And speaking of hippies. Apparently I'm either too old or have been out of the loop too long, but I don't understand all this business with zombies. I can understand the hippies thing (peace dude? really?) but could someone please explain all these references to zombies?

MrsSmith, you're in error, but I am =D proud that y'all spelled it right, as so MANY put the apostrophe in the wrong place.

Y'all is singular.  The plural of y'all is "All y'all".

Ignoring the typical APS thread divergence, I still refuse to vote for Romney/Huckabee/etc for prez.

Romney is a RINO Statist that approves of state healthcare.

Huckabee is a Statist of a different stripe.

I will only vote for someone interested in DISASSEMBLING Statism.

I consider a RINO or a Statist to be equal to a socialist or other Obama peer.
