Turns out that a friend is a character in it. Royalties and everything. Physical activity and voice sampling, and they're going to use a different face.

I don't really know the 'verse for the game/movies, but this guy is supposedly one of the good guys, and according to my friend he will likely have decent longevity...
 
And... He gets PAID.

With all due respect to your friend, the voice acting in the Resident Evil series isn't exactly setting a high bar. :P
