Title: It took awhile, but...

the reaping of Virginia's Democratic Party Leaders has started...

Two years ago Eileen Filler-Corn was seen as the face of a glorious new liberal age in Virginia when she became the first female House Speaker in Virginia history.

Then, last November.  Democrats lost in the Old Dominion. Lost BIG.

There were rumblings about party leadership at that time,  but they were surprisingly muted considering just how badly the Democrats did.

Until this week, when it finally boiled into an internal coup. Del. Don Scott forced a leadership vote after he nominated himself to take Filler-Corn's place, and he won.

That's both good and bad.

Good because Filler-Corn was a left leaning.

Bad because Scott is even further left leaning and nominated two hard core left progressives to be part of his leadership team.

But, that may actually be good, because the Virginia Democrats tried to take Virginia hard left after they cleaned up in 2019 and in 2021 they got their asses handed to them because of it. So, lean left, Virginia Democrats! Hard left! It was very successful for Virginia Republicans, so let's keep that momentum going into Senate elections next year!

That seems to be the issue with the Dems as I see it.  The ones that aren't leftists don't seem to have any desire to advance or push for leadership positions.
