Minority can't pass the math test, must be a racist test. Looks like the everyone is wonderful attitude is out of the pre-school and into the police force. How exactly can math be racially biased?  What is next, 85% of white trainees scored expert in pistol quals, compared to only 40% of hispanics, so we need to eliminate pistol quals from police training?

Keep lowering the standards and soon you won't have any. The issue isn't race. It's individual responsibility and education.  We are now seeing the result of lowering the standards in public education and passing students regardless of peformance. No one expects anything out of them in a classroom setting and suddenly as adults they don't think anyone should expect anything of them in the real world.
This what happens when people are thrown to the wolves with substandard preparation..............ya get eaten.

Affirmative Action at it's worst. Last I checked, 2+2=4 regardless of race, creed, color, or gender. The wonder of math is that it's colorblind.

And if the sample question in the article is an indication, this is not even a math test -- it's a, "can you tie your own shoelaces, or does your mother still do it for you?" test.
