You know who you are with your guns and your Fox News and your hatred of the black man <tm>:

So he's on about anger. I'm trying to find the video of Obama telling his supporters that they ought to be angry. No luck.

This is a compliment on the growth and maturation of the American Electorate. A secade or two ago we were characterized as two-year olds throwing a tantrum. Now we are hormonal emo teenagers.
But in spite of our progress over the years, the type of pundit who commentates on matters such as this appears to remain trapped in some sort of egomoniacial authority trap.
stay safe.

Just the usual talking points with a bit of tweaking here and there: angry know-nothing racist redneck voters described by an elitist liberal journalist defending the indefensible and incompetent socialist president and his counterparts in congress.
Really, I'm growing very tired of this harangue. I wish the liberal columnists would call the anti-Obama voters Martians or something. Anything new would be preferable to the countless repetitions of the party line.

Do you really want to see how they are?
I mean we all know how much hypocrisy there is on the left, but they're not willing to admit it.
Anyone with half an ounce of a brain can see it, and perhaps that's precisely what happened this last election, those of us with a half oz. or more of a brain woke up.
Here's a delightful look at how the left sees us.
Pay attention to the comments posted by some of the others that agree with her (Xultar)
And some of her further comments she makes below.
I mean come on, we conservatives don't treat our pets as well as they do?
The Tea party and republicans/conservatives are the party of hate?

p.s. warning for language (but that's the be expected from the party of togetherness and love.)

It continues to amaze me how much folks in the DU example resemble the very attributes they excoriate.
While most of us on the right intellectually disagree with our opposites, we generally can discuss the pros and cons without spewing vitriol. Do we have knuckle draggers among us? Certainly. I get e-mails that pass around that are race based concerning Obama, for example. I don't read them and delete them and never pass them along. Most of the dialogue or monologue from the right is connected to the desire to follow the Constitution and it's principals. There is no hate involved in wanting that.

It was in 1994 that the late Peter Jennings (who wasn't even a US citizen then - bleeping foreigner) made the "two year old throwing a tantrum" comparison because voters threw out a bunch of Democrats.
So, sixteen years later, the two year olds have turned eighteen - making them teenagers. Hence the comparison.
Maybe the editorial writer can't be original, but at least he's capable of basic arithmetic. ;/

An article titled "Man up, America" in Vanity Fair. =D

The fourth paragraph is rather interesting...

IMO, the vitriol and personal attacks start when people realize they cannot defend or debate their own beliefs.

I was thinking the same thing. You just stated it very nicely.

Not for me. I just throw them in whenever I get bored with straight logic.

...Nixon made our young men cannon fodder in VN.
What the deuce? Do they just not teach children about LBJ's role in Vietnam anymore?
-
Does he realize Nixon ended Vietnam and abolished the draft?

Does he realize Nixon ended Vietnam and abolished the draft?
But....Nixon did bad things to liberals...the MSM and academia could never give Nixon credit for anything good because of that....
-
I wonder if you could use that vitriol as a VoiceOver for the rabid hamster video. Seems kind of fitting somehow.
-
God, that was boring.
Is voting for a deranged Tea Party candidate such as Christine O’Donnell, who has no demonstrable talent for lawmaking, or much else, so different from shouting “Whatever!” and slamming the bedroom door?
Is reading an opinion from an "editor" who has no demonstrable talent for writing, or much else, including acquiring common sense, so different from shouting "Whatever!" and slamming the bedroom door? Yeah, it takes far more of my time and makes me feel far stupider for having read it and not being able to get back the time spent.

I seriously pissed off one of my very liberal co-workers a few months ago.
He was ranting about how those of us that are opposed to Obama and his policies are just racist.
I told him I thought those that are in favor of Obama and his policies are just pedophiles.
He responded that There was no basis for insulting him like that.
I told him I had just as much rational basis for accusing him of being a pedophile as he did of accusing me of being a racist.
Bonus of the whole thing is I haven't had to listen to him rant about great the Liberals are in several months, in fact I haven't had to listen to his whiny voice since then.

A liberal at work was going on about how racism was "dominating" the election.
I expressed sympathy and agreed, prompting a big grin on his face. But then I continued by making the observation that voters fitting certain demographics are SO hung up on skin color that they'd vote for Idi Amin if he were running against Mother Teresa.
His grin faded . . . =D

The truth hurts... and it should!

Yeah, but you held back by not commenting something like, "...even if they saw him eating his opponent in a youtube video."
