A Reason to Vote for McCain . . .
« on: May 30, 2008, 05:32:18 AM »
From Liz Smith's column at the New York Post:
Quote
SUSAN SARANDON, who appeared in three films last year and won kudos for her TV movie "Bernard and Doris," is still not a contented soul. She says if John McCain gets elected, she will move to Italy or Canada. She adds, "It's a critical time, but I have faith in the American people."
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Didn't she say the same about Bush?

Susan Sarandon can still bug us from Italy just as easily as she can from Hollywood.

So I still only have -5 reasons to vote for McCain.
He never brought you an unbalanced budget, which is a perennial joke. He never voted himself a wage increase and, to this day, gives back part of his salary every year. He has always voted to preserve the Constitution, cut government spending, lower healthcare costs, end the war on drugs, secure our borders with immigration reform and protect our civil liberties.

So far, I have three reasons to cast a McCain ballot:

1. He's not Hillary.

2. He's not B. Hussein Obama.

3. Ms. Sarandon might go away.

But looking at the three major candidates . . . we are so screwed . . .  sad

We seem to have to have a 'Celebrity" tell us what to wear. What kind of car to drive and what to eat and so on. Most of our so called Movie Stars and Rock Stars have no education. Some of them did not even finish High School. They seem to forget that money does not buy you class or knowledge. Some of them were just at the right place at the right time. Some have talent and some do not.
Having them say that they will move out of our country is ENOUGH REASON FOR ME TO VOTE FOR McCAIN. I am not really thrilled with any of the three canidates that we have running for President. If voting for McCain will rid of us of some of our Liberal Stars then McCain has my vote. I am a veteran and FLAG WAVER. God Bless the USA.

Well, if all the blacks vote for Obama
and all the women vote for Hilllary,
then I suppose that I should vote for McCain  rolleyes

Remember, celebrities today are lying sacks of *expletive deleted*it.

Remember Alec Baldwin and that lard butt Rob Reiner?

Both said that if Bush were elected in 2004 they'd move out of the country.

Both proved that they have no personal honor when Bush was elected and they stayed put.

The only Baldwin who isn't useless is Adam, and he's not even related. (Jayne on Firefly).

He is, appropriately, a progun conservative, and quite well spoken. He's been called a "neanderthal" by leftists on boards he's posted on, including a Firefly board. cheesy

So let me see if I got this right.
Some celebrity, who makes a living pretending to be somebody they aren't (ie actor/actress), has an opinion about some important world or national issue, and that they believe they know more about what we need than the rest of us. And if it doesn't go according to thier views, they are going to deprive us of thier physical presence and punish us by leaving our country...
sounds more like an ego problem to me.
What we have here is failure to communicate.

If Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton threaten to leave the country if McCain becomes President, I might be swayed......

If they threaten to take the entire Bush family with them, I'll become a McCain fundraiser....
