The moon bats are howling for blood!
What say you?
You get two votes, you can change your votes as time goes by and circumstances dictate.
We’re going to impeach that mother $$$$$r!

Some will try, and have already started, but they will, despite her rhetoric, be stopped by Pelosi. She and other establishment dems have an agenda that would be, if not derailed, severely curtailed by an impeachment circus.
-
What difference, at this point, does it make?
Both sides know it's just political BS, and the senate won't do anything anyway.

I suspect much of this hinges on the Mueller investigations.
If the inquisition aka witch hunt turns up something they can use they may run with it, otherwise the threat of impeachment will work for them also.
-
I think Pelosi can hold them off until Mueller is done. Once they get a hold of his findings (regardless of what they are) they will impeach and it will go nowhere in the senate. Same scenario if Trump fires Mueller but a slightly closer vote in the senate.
-
"I suspect much of this hinges on the Mueller investigations."
Actually NONE of it hinges on the Muller investigations. These imbeciles were screeching for impeachment virtually from the moment Uncoronated Empress Hillary I was denied her rightful legacy our most experienced president ever by those horrible white Nazi racists.
High crimes and misdemeanors required to impeach?
Who cares! That's just dead white man talk from a piece of 200 year old toilet paper!
-
They'll manage to shove it through the House on numbers alone. It'll never see the light of day in the Senate.

More virtue signaling from the SJWs in the House. Even the RINOs in the Senate would not go along with any impeachment.
-
I suspect a lot of Democrats would get cold feet if they actually had to vote for impeachment instead of just talk about it.

I'm not sure they are all that smart.
I expect an impeachment in the House. My concern is if there are enough feckless cowards in the Senate (Romney) to try to make it go there.

There are plenty of democrats who believe the cake is real.

Interesting that fifteen of 'em either voted against or voted only as "Present" regarding Pelosi's as Speaker.

I think it's interesting that ONLY 15 of them voted against or present. There was a lot of big talk about a revolt that amounted to nothing in the end. I guess the whole head chopping thing got around. Even the loudmouthed Bronx chick went back on her "promise" faster than a jackrabbit on a hot date.

I think it's likely that the dems WILL impeach Trump.
I think it's even more likely that the Senate will not convict him.
-
There's only one bullet in the Impeachment Gun. Once the D's pull that trigger and it misfires in the Senate, he's almost untouchable for there on.
-
The Dems would have a better chance of removing Trump if they'd taken the Senate instead of the House. There's enough Rs that hate Trump it might have passed in the House even with R control if they Ds controlled the Senate.
(BTW, "High crimes and misdemeanors" is not defined anywhere, it means whatever the congress wants it to mean. They don't need a legitimate reason to remove the president if both houses agree. A parking ticket from 20 years ago would do it. Just being an ahole is probably good enough)

Unless they impeach him more than once. (Remember, these are democrats we're talking about.)

Enjoy the next 2 years fellow campers. In 2020 when Amerika elects an angry Democrat Socialist woman, a D senate and D house the American experiment with a Constitutional Republic will come crashing down. How hard would it be when we have galloping inflation, no border control, high taxes, galloping welfare and huge unemployment for the government to begin taking over control of companies etc. A lot of the bureaucracy is in place now to do that and more. We came close with Nixon's wage and price controls.

Watching this drama unfold is akin to reading/watching the slow motion battle betwixt The Lady of Charm and her husband by political convenience only husband The Dominator in Glen Cooks Annals of the Black Company - Books of the North. Only President Trump ain't The Dominator in this case.

Recall it takes a 2/3 majority to convict (just a simple 50% majority in the House to impeach). Even if the D's had somehow flipped the Senate leaving only 49 R's theys have to get 16 to flip on their party's POTUS to remove him from office.

Exactly this. I have serious doubts about the Senate Republican leadership and their ability to corral the numerous Never Trumper RINOs.

The biggest issue, IMHO, is how this clown college thesis defense impacts the 2020 elections. If D's impeach, don't even flip enough Rs to get a simple majority to convict, will the base punish them or get even more fired up? If they 50+ (but under67) votes in the Senate how will Rs respond? What if Cocaine Mitch never allows a vote? Etc.
-
The Senate portion is a trial overseen by the Chief Justice. Mitch can't stop it.

At some point, the more rabid Democrat voters are going to get fed up and vote for a 3rd party. However, I think it may depend on what the billionaires think who fund a lot of the liberal political agenda.

He can probably tie things up with parlimentary tactics for quite a while. Even if he can't do a Garland.
Regardless, if the Rs were smart, which they're not, they'd find a way to turn the trial around on the Ds and make them look like the unhinged crybabies they are trying to hijack the Presidency because they lost an election the could/should have won in a walk.
