Vic Mackey's S&W4506
« on: July 24, 2008, 10:24:50 PM »
In season 2,episode 3 "partners",of "THE SHIELD" you will notice that in the scene shortly after Vic has been shot there is a close-up of Vic's.45. This is however a different model S&W4506 than the one we usually see him taking down scumbags with. You see Vic's "usual".45 wears the S&W protected,or "winged" if you will,Novak rear sights, not the fixed 3-dot sights that we see in this particular episode. The fact that these two rear sight sets are not readily interchangable among the 4506's means that these were two different weapons.

My guess is that he needs to move back at least 3 feet from the TV screen.

I remember the days when parents were told that if their kids sat too close to the TV their eyesight would suffer and their brains would rot from cancer.  But that was before TV had become the mindless wasteland.

stay safe.

Hey, I once started a thread [on another forum] inquiring as to the identification of Gregory House's revolver.

It's a TV show. And not a very good one at that.

Yours was an inquiry. This is a statement, to what effect is yet to be determined.

Hello and welcome, Barnstormer. Did you want to know if anyone else noticed the switcharoo with the weapon? I believe we're all kind of curious as to how we can best have some input on your topic.
