Car Body Trim Repair Adhesive
« on: August 15, 2009, 09:26:06 PM »
On my car, one of the trim strips in the door is starting to come off.  One end is loose with the connector thing broken off.  With a 10 yr old car this is to be expected, but I would like to avoid the car looking too rough.

Any suggestions on how to reattach the loose end?

I used gorilla glue on my old car.

Since the glue foams up a bit, it was very effective at bridging the small gap between the trim and the body.

Held well in the weather too.

Clear silicone adhesive will work as well.

Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

I just tried the gorilla glue since I had a bottle of it and will see how it does.

Thanks!
