If I could find one of these in stainless, 3 inch barrel, and .38/.357/9 mm, it will be mine as a trail gun.

Did/do they make them in a 3"?....

By golly, looks like they do.  Good luck finding one.

I have a Taurus something or other (probably 327?) that shoots, IIRC, five different cartridges -- with no cylinder swapping required. The "native" chambering is .327 Federal Magnum, but it also shoots .32 S&W Short, .32 S&W Long, .32 H&R Magnum, and .32 ACP.
