I predict that Obama will not be up to the task of administering the country, and that his loyal followers in the media and the electorate will do their best to conceal, confuse, or ignore that fact.

^^^This. I predict it will strain the media's lying creative presentation skills to the max finding the good in all of the Obamaton's screw ups. I can see his slogan in 2012: "Anyone but Bush!" I mean if he can campaign against someone who isn't running once.....

Same ol' same for '09. Lots of noises of all sorts from the herd who will continue to do nothing but make noise as the movers and shakers bend them over collectively yet again.

I predict the media will at some point turn on O'Bama.  Media will be able to suppress stuff only so long before their own credibility begins to suffer.

Unfortunately, I'm a pessimist. My prediction?:

The beginning of the next depression. Our CURRENT administration is already taking the steps that Herbert Hoover did that turned us to the first Great Depression. Our next administration will suck even more confidence and capital out of the free market with "Government Jobs!" and "Stabilized Wages!" that no one will invest.

But hey, we'll all get jobs with the WPA II digging ditches and planting trees.

Oh and free health care. That will suck. And collapse in on itself in about.... I'll say 5 years.

Oh, and gun owners are screwed. Assault Weapon Ban at the VERY least. Possible ammunition regulations as well.

...

Anyone interested in starting a new colony?

(I'm not always so pessimistic... really!)
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Media still gots credibility? Where?

*Back door attacks on gun ownership through ammo restrictions like lead bans and draconian OSHA rules on powder and primer shipping and handling (again).

*BATFE intensifies it's persecution of FFL dealers.

*The new administration continues to through astronomical sums of money at our declining economy only to wonder in slack jawed amazement at is continued decline.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. When did Texas ever get whipped by the Yankees? As I recall, the only two defeats Texas ever had didn't even occurr on Texas soil (Battles of Galveston Island & Glorietta, NM--and why any Texan thought conquering California was a good idea is anyone's guess  ).

You Yankees ought to be glad that Texas did return to the Union after the War of Northern Aggression...we've had to prop the rest of y'all up ever since....  =D
