So...
"Alexa, how long does it take to chill a beer in the freezer?"
She said 30 minutes. So...
"Alexa, please set a timer for 45 minutes."
And google said 40-45 minutes.
We'll see...
-
Did you have to clean the freezer?
-
An ice water bath will cool it quicker.
-
But the freezer is there, and if I had enough ice, I'd have a bourbon rocks...

What does "chill" mean to the two different sources?
You're assuming both Google and Alexa can read your mind.
To me, "chill" means 40 below.
-
Aluminum can or glass bottle?

There is NOTHING better than a bottle of beer fished out of an ice bucket.
Yeah, it's as cold as if it sat in the refrigerator for a couple of days...
But somehow, it feels AND tastes better.

I know there's a chill when my wife puts on a sweater, and crosses her arms.

 And gives you "that look." And you feel like a shamed puppy. For at least 0.032 seconds, admit it.

Often in the summer I’ll ice down some beers in a small cooler. It is much better and goes well with sitting in the shade in the backyard and reading a good book while our dogs sunbathe.

Exactly. I don't understand what it is, but beer out of an ice bucket is so much better.
Few years ago I was helping a friend do some work and we needed to make a supply run. I told him we needed to stop for ice for the beer.
Beer's in the fridge.
Yeah, beer on ice is far superior.
We got ice, iced the beers, and enjoyed the hell out of them.
