Yeah, that and my cell number has "expired" so how can I port that number since it is no longer my number ?
I was saying port that number if you manage to get it back.

I had my first Google Voice number for a couple years.  Our house number has been ported to Google Voice for several months.  The service itself is maybe 3 years old at this point.  Can't speak for longevity, but I haven't experienced any issues so far.

FWIW, I've had the same cell number for 10 years so they typically don't expire either.
