Maybe, but I've always used IE and never had any problem.
Well, you do now.
Hey, I think you got the wrong guy. Mike's having problems, but I, cosine, wrote that. Cheesy

Yep, same type of pop ups.   Friggin drive you crazy for sure.

Chris, here's what I got under hkey_local_Machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run
   Optional components/IMAIL
                                   MAPI
                                   MSFS

There is no explorer folder under hkey_local_Machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies
   There is NonEnum
                Ratings
                   PICSRules
                       .Default
                   System

You don't have any entries in the right hand screen when you burrow down to those levels?  In the ...currentversion\run path, I have several entries for modules that get loaded during boot.  I have nothing under the Policies branch though.  The latter is where Irwin's trojan was hiding.

That's your drive autoplay settings.  Using a variety of hex codes, you can control how your system autoplays disks of various types.

Ok, I do have some.  I'm actually on my laptop now.  I have 6 users on my home pc so I have to check each one to see who has what running.  Where did you find his virus running at again?  I'll compare and see if I can find it.

I found some suspect registries on my youngest daughters path.  Removed them and am still looking.

There is something that shows up as "Microsoft Works Update Detection" under the Run folder.

Ok, I found the culprit.  Its not a virus but Malware.  ngpw36 is the ware and I'm trying to find a way to get rid of it now.  Everything I find online wants me to buy the program like Spy Doctor or something like that.

Anybody know where I can get an English version of Firefox 1.07? All of the mirror sites have updated to 1.5.

The few bugs I did have were with extensions I was running that there weren't updates for. It seems the Mozilla crew made some wholesale changes between 1.0 and 1.5. I haven't experienced the crashes, but 1.5 is a huge resource hog. 1.07 ran much faster.
