"Rebalancing" is typically industry jargon that can also be read as "revenue enhancement."  Brokerages love it because they get paid for selling stuff, not for holding your account.
Unless your strategy was flawed to begin with (e.g. everything in tech funds) or you have changed something dramatically in life (reached age 50, planning early retirement, etc) there is no reason to "rebalance" a portfolio.
