He had a lot of roles, and seemed like an all-around great guy.

Lot of interesting info in the article.

Like the photo on COL Potter's desk of his wife was his actual wife and the horse he says goodbye to in the final show was his own horse.

I got the impression that his last days were somewhat obscure.
