I don't get what is so "creepy" about it.

Manedwolf posted the lyrics.  Read them.  Songs like that are usually reserved for the worship of deities or other religious figures.  You do the math.

That kinda worries me.

It's reminiscent of an earlier political movement, but the symbol was different.

The "explantion" they give is a complete fabrication.

And that's equally creepy.

"Look at it this way. If America frightens you, feel free to live somewhere else. There are plenty of other countries that don't suffer from excessive liberty. America is where the Liberty is. Liberty is not certified safe."

I read them. It doesn't appear to me to be a worship type song, sorta close but it isn't one. It is more like a political add in song form.

They finally had the smarts to pull the video down off the web.

Creepy, indeed.

WOuld be nice to know what they are actually singing.

They are singing praise to their "Beloved Leader".

One website's claim:  ( I don't speak Korean )

#  Mt. Paektu reaches across
To shape our beautiful land.
Cheers resound all over the land,
Hailing our dear General.
He's the leader of the people,
Carrying forward the Sun's cause.
Long live, long live, General Kim Jong Il.

# All blossoms on this earth
Tell of his love, broad and warm.
Blue East and West Seas sing
His exploits in their song.
He is the artist of great joy,
Glorifying the garden of Juche.
Long live, long live, General Kim Jong Il.

# Socialist cause he defends
With iron will and courage.
He raises national honour
Far and wide throughout the world.
He is the champion of justice,
Standing for independence.
Long live, long live, General Kim Jong Il.

Here he is relaxing, having a cold one Smiley

The Internationale is far better than this.

Quote
We`re tricked by laws and regulations,
Our taxes strip us to the bone.
The rich enjoy the wealth of nations,
But the poor naught can sell their own,
Long have we in vile bondage languished,
Yet we equal are every ones
No rights but duties for the vanguish`d
We claim our rights for duties done.

One website's claim:...

That would seem to be an actual type of worship/glorification song, while the Obama one is more of an actual political add in song form. Now if he was to become president and he made it mandetory for people things like schools to have the kids sing songs praising him then that would be completely different, and a great need for worry.

Also there are songs that sing praise of other people too, often people like outlaws, but I don't see people here going off comparing the people that they are about to people like Kim Jong Il.

Even those who were at first supporting the broadcast of the Obamajugend video got hit by the clue bat.

Perhaps they didn't see the irony at first, but they sure's hell do now.

They yanked the creepy damned video.  That says a lot in and of itself, even if Obama is The Anointed One.

I don't get what is so "creepy" about it. All it is is a bunch of kids singing.

Maybe so. But oh, what they are singing about! Its propaganda made up of lies.
It's already been stated, those who control the youth control the future.

Stalin did the same thing. So did Mao. Did'nt you watch the news when North Korea had their big celebration?

These children are being brainwashed into believing leftist lies. Brainwashing children is messed up.

Edit: I'm not really absent minded, I just didn't read the whole thread.  smiley

What the devil kind of &^*%ed up political ads are they running in your area?   shocked  I have never heard lines like that in a political ad.

By the way, "ad" is short for "advertisement."  "Add" refers to an arithmetic function.

Quote
Jayne, the man they call Jayne

He robbed from the rich
And he gave to the poor
Stood up to the man
And gave him what for
Our love for him now
Ain't hard to explain
The hero of Canton
The man they call Jayne

Our Jayne saw the mudders' backs breakin'
He saw the mudders' lament
And he saw the magistrate takin'
Every dollar and leavin' five cents
So he said "you can't do that to my people"
He said "you can't crush them under your heel"
So Jayne strapped on his hat
And in 5 seconds flat
Stole everythin' Boss Higgins had to steal

He robbed from the rich
And he gave to the poor
Stood up to the man
And gave him what for
Our love for him now
Ain't hard to explain
The hero of Canton
The man they call Jayne

Now here is what separates heroes
From common folk like you and I
The man they call Jayne
He turned 'round his plane
And let that money hit sky
He dropped it onto our houses
He dropped it into our yards
The man they called Jayne
He stole away our pain
And headed out for the stars

He robbed from the rich
And he gave to the poor
Stood up to the man
And gave him what for
Our love for him now
Ain't hard to explain
The hero of Canton
The man they call Jayne.

Yeah, let's brainwash the little children. I'll bet that those who made this video would vehemently object to the saying of the "Pledge of Allegiance". This video seems pretty "communistic" to me.

See Freakazoid, the problem with all of this is that these are children.

Do you think they

1) Truly understand and
2) Truly believe what they are singing?

If so then it's fine.  But I don't. I think they are singing what they are told to sing, believing what they are told to believe, without the opportunity to decide for themselves.

THAT is a problem and if you don't see it well there's not much else to talk about.

Do you feel the same way about kids singing hymns in church?

Where I went to church I was offered an explanation of why and what at around 6-8 years old.

I was offered that same explanation, and a choice, at around 12 years old.

So, when given a choice sure I think it's fine.

If you're forcing a kid to sing worship songs at 12 or 13 years old and haven't offered them a choice then yea, I think it's pretty bad.

If these kids in this video knew exactly what they were saying and why things would be different.  I see no evidence offered in that direction however.

their kids  they can do what they want.  but it does make a statement about the parents
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

That is sickening.
Those kids don't have a clue about politics. (Not that we all do ourselves, but at least we're old enough to know what we're getting ourselves into)
This is indoctrination of the lowest form, and not one of Obamas' supporters would think that there is anything wrong with it in any way shape or form.

This is what this country has turned into?!?!?Huh?

Makes me want to renounce citizenship and move to some island out in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, that'd be my issue with it too. I imagine these kids are no more brainwashed or indoctrinated about Obama than the average 10 y/o at a church is about God. Parents pass their belief systems on to their kids. We may despise that system, but vehemently objecting to it like this is just silly.

IOW, their parents are tools for worshipping Obama, but it's hardly child abuse to pass that along to the kiddos.

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
