The NSA lied made a mistake ... and "accidentally" erased years of evidence that they were under court orders to preserve.

If NSA senior management were jailed for a while (contempt, obstruction, etc.) perhaps the next batch of NSA senior management would be more careful about observing legalities.

But of course, the chances of actual accountability coming into play where a .gov bureaucrat is concerned are on a par with winning a huge lotto jackpot.

I have a dream that when a Senior level bureaucrats pulls crap like this, Trey Gowdy gets a nod from the Committee chair, pulls out a 1911, plugs the guy between the eyes, waggles the gun at the Assistant, or Deputy or whomever the next in line is and says "Your boss couldn't find the e-mails, texts, whatever that the American people demand, do you think you can ??"

The best part is, this would only happen with a Republican controlled House as the Democrats hate guns....
