Very very soon;
http://thelawdogfiles.blogspot.com/2017/07/seven-days.html
The more the book sells the first day it is released, the higher it will rate at amazon...

5 days!

I do think it's funny how Lawdog appears a bit nervous about the book going live, while the rest of us are all going:

Is there are direct link to the amazon listing I can get? A search isn't pulling it up as far as I can tell.
-
Don't find a way to pre order.

DAMMIT!
I thought it was supposed to be a "book," not a freakin' computer file. The only format offered is a Kindle e-book. What format is that? Can I read it if I don't own a Kindle or a Nook?
And LawDog's announcement says something about autographed copies. How does one autograph a digital file? I guess I'll have to wait for the dead tree edition to come out.

There are free kindle apps for iOs and Android, so you can read kindle books on pretty much any tablet or smart phone. I think you can read them on your computer as well, I seem to recall a Kindle for PC app.
For authors I really like I often will download the e-book first (or eARC more often) and then get a dead-tree (autographed or not) copy later. That way I get instant gratification AND dead tree fun. I think that's what I did with the Reckless Faith series (I think i have digital copies floating around, I know I have dead tree in the bookshelf at home), and I know that's what I do with MHI books.

Yup, the PC app is great.

Yup, the PS app is great.
??? What's the PS app?
-
Ya know, for my old 286 IBM PS/2, Duh!
-
Actually, there could conceivably be a book reader app for the latest generation of PlayStation.....
It would be trivial...
-
Two words.
"Canis interruptis".
Probably the shortest story on there. But it seriously needs at least a Class IV beverage alert.
-
Bought the Kindle version for all my devices, including two laptops. Yes Hawk, there is a Kindle app for Windows-based PCs, so you can enjoy LD's book.
-
I bought the ebook for the kindle app on my android tablet.
Love it

Just as a heads up, all law enforcement stories. Majority of them are from his blog, couple new ones. Hoping he does an Africa book next.
Definitely loved the book, and it's great to have all of the stories in one handy package.
-
He does have an Africa book planned next.
Lawdog files is already a best seller in some of the humor catagories. :police:
-
OK, he just got a mention on Instapundit, so hopefully he will get an Instalanche!
-
Oh man. he's #1 bestseller in each of his subcategories, and knocking on the door of the top 100 paid kindle books
-

What is a successful Book Bomb Alex. I'll take obvious questions for $300...
-
His next book is available for pre-order... you might want to wait for the book bomb for it though.

The only critical review, which was 3 stars, was accurate. The jail reports lacked context and felt out of the flow. Put last would have probably been a better choice, as well as fleshed out with an intro chapter on realities of incarceration.

Just finished reading my E Copy. Laughed my ass off several times, even though I remembered a fair number of the tales. Are the rest out yet? PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY!

I have to agree... The jail shift reports were never my favorite part of his blog. Some were funny, but mostly they were... well... "meh"...

My biggest "complaint" is that some terms were never defined. Book needs a glossary for Texas/Cop/Jail/Prison/Con to `Murican By-Gawd English!

Write to him. That could probably be an entire book by itself.
