Long story - I got to see her start, taxi, and take off. Big radials swinging props...no sound like it.

Only sits there spinning like it's trying to load for me too.
Are the photos maybe set is hidden or something to where only you can see them? Or maybe because it's photobucket.

To me, the cranking on mine is pretty effortless, at least on the coarse setting. Maybe if someone has arthritis or something, it would be more difficult for them." - Ben

It's Photobucket.

This one must have been warm from a previous flght since there was no radial engine cold start crank-through and starting smoke.  Didn't even have the impulse-magneto snaps.

In postwar years, the Ford Trimotors continued in limited service with small, regional air carriers. One of the most famous was the Scenic Airways Ford Trimotor N414H which was used for 65 years as a sightseeing aircraft flying over the Grand Canyon.[3] The aircraft is still in use as of late 2011, mainly for promotional and film work, though one Trimotor operator offers rides. As of October 2016, a Ford Trimotor was still being used by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) to fly passengers on sightseeing tours.

That's a "Wow!" fer shore.

About EAA

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is a growing and diverse organization of members with a wide range of aviation interests and backgrounds.

My experiments with aircraft are limited to folded paper planes.
