No, I stopped using Facebook for business many months ago. I spent about $1000 on ads and got very few clicks. The cost per click from Facebook was probably over $10. I got all sorts of "Likes" for the deals I posted, but Likes don't pay the bills.

I don't know why social media is necessary, but I guess it is for some.

I don't see APS as the same thing. It's more like a small community. And nobody posts recipes for Bundt cakes.
:-*
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Glazed-Almond-Bundt-Cake/Detail.aspx?evt19=1

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
1 2/3 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup ground almonds
1 cup milk

1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup toasted sliced almonds
DIRECTIONS:
1.   Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan. Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and ground almonds. Set aside.
2.   In a large bowl, cream together the butter and 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract and vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with 1 cup milk, mixing just until incorporated. Pour batter into prepared pan.
3.   Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes and invert on a wire rack. Cool 10 minutes longer. Place rack on waxed paper. Combine 1/4 cup milk, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon almond extract and toasted sliced almonds; pour over warm cake.

Damn you beat me too it.

I don't know that Classmates.com is considered "social media", but it's close enough and irritating enough to qualify. I get emails from them almost daily, inviting me to see the new photos from somebody I don't know.

Classmates solicits the married guys, mainly.  They know who'll pay for services that can be obtained elsewhere for free.

And another cornbread recipe couldn't hurt...

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/golden-sweet-cornbread/

1 cup all-purpose flour
 1 cup yellow cornmeal
 2/3 cup white sugar
 1 teaspoon salt
 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
 1 egg
 1 cup milk
 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Spray or lightly grease a 9 inch round cake pan.
In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder.
Stir in egg, milk and vegetable oil until well combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Lol.

Please point out my hypocrisy. You only know me from this forum, so I'd assume all of my hypocrisy is only a short use of the Search function away.

You're reading a lot of emotions that don't exist into my posts. I'd suggest that says more about you than it does me. I dislike some things. That doesn't mean i get emotional or worked up about them. Why would you assume it does? Are you incapable of disliking something without becoming emotional and upset about it, or do you just assume that anyone who disagrees with you must be that way?

Still waiting for that hypocrisy I'm so known for. Assuming, of course, that you weren't just calling names with no basis in fact. Cause that'd be hateful.  :-*

thread drift...

OK, why does an ad for ED drugs have them in separate tubs?
Doesn't the point of the drug kind of require sharing a tub?

I really just don't get this ???

^^^^ On the commercial showing the two tubs side by side out in the meadow, my wife wants to know how they ran the plumbing out there.  I told her Pex and Sharkbites.

I actually was just wondering why those two tubs have facets, when they are clearly not attached to any plumbing...

I get the Linked In emails periodically.  Started getting them from a non-computer guy at work.  I asked him and he said he linked his email with the system or something and it apparently robbed his contact list and started sending emails.  Why he did that I have no idea.

Yeah no.

Linked in only does that if you TELL it to invite everyone, after giving it PERMISSION to snatch your contacts.

I guess a hot tub would have made more sense.

At least they didn't rob the Love Toilet from that SNL commercial.
