The tone of the email indicates that this sender has already judged Jim to be guilty, which is a shame since she'd always seemed so rational and clear headed when I worked with her.
The Bizzaro factor here is that Jim was our IT guy in the Bloodmines, and was my locker partner in High School.
I certainly hope that he isn't guilty but I guess you'll have to wait for the investigation and trial to find out more.
I knew a guy who seemed absolutely harmless and he was regarded as an upstanding and was even known as a devout Christian. Everyone was shocked when he got caught in a child pornography investigation but the police found mounds of evidence when they excuted a search warrant. I'm not saying that your guy is guilty but from my own personal experience, I was pretty stunned that such a seemingly normal guy could have a secret life.
I hope that this is not the case with your friend and the investigation will exonerate him.
