Since my dream of making people not get payroll deductions so they have to write one big whopper of a check on April 15th will never come true, this would be the next best thing. Unlike the $500 or whatever piddly little rebates, this would be a significant amount and hopefully get people to think about what it means relative to their normal take-home.
I look every paycheck (ok, it's just a stub now with direct deposit) and keep a close eye on how much the government has taken from me.
It's already a nice car (not new, but I never want to buy a new one).
This is especially galling as, with as young as I am, there is basically no chance I will ever see ANY return for the money being stolen for "Social Security". (I don't expect to "get my money back" since the progam has NEVER been about that, contrary to popular belief.)
